About

Dana Skallman, is a garden enthusiast and techie who loves to organize both plants and data. She studies permaculture, maintains a small garden of herbs and edibles and has come a long way from the time she used a portable aluminum grill at her dorm with her college roommates and burnt the window sill! But her “let’s just do it!” attitude prevails as she has learned canning, fermenting, and bread-making. Having grown up outside of the US, then as an adult living in a culture that was less familiar, Dana is not afraid to jump into new recipes and is excited to use this project to help you experiment too!

Dana loves making pleasing flavors and her ambition with this community-supported endeavor is to create connection through food that’s simply good. Dana’s idea is to create a kitchen project that is way smaller than a large-scale operation, yet abundant enough to supply friends, peers, neighbors and their extended circles. In other words, meeting taste desires of immediate community. These canned toppings, condiments, and sauces can make enhancing food a breeze. In doing so, Dana plants seeds that inspire people to be more spirited with home cooking.
